Which Is Better? Morning Or Evening Workout?

It's a question that has been asked since the dawn of time (maybe). Is it better to workout in the morning or at night? Does it really even matter? The short answer is no. Doing what works for you is the best time to get your exercise in. Doing A workout is better than doing NO workout. You dig? Good, with that said, there are some differences. Morning Workout: Those that workout in the morning are able to fall asleep quickly at night. Evening Workout: Good news, the same study found that a night workout increases body heat and also helps to induce sleep.

Morning workouts have been shown to increase productivity, lower blood pressure and speed up metabolism. Mornings also come with greater joint stiffness and expanded or swollen discs which can lead to possible injury if not warmed up properly.

Evening workouts have been shown to lower stress levels, lower cortisol, increased endurance (during workouts) and help skip possible poor choices after work (happy hour anyone?)

Bottom line, it comes down to being consistent and doing what works for you. If that means a morning workout, an evening workout or switching them just that!
